STRATEGY BRIEF: THE ONLY FIX FOR THE INCOME TAX

When The Governor Will Sign the Income Tax Bill

You already know the majority Democrat party in Olympia forced through a new income tax (Bill 6346), and Governor Ferguson is signing it into law on Monday.

You might look at your paycheck next month and think, “Well, I guess the income tax didn't pass.”

That is exactly what Olympia wants you to think.

They wanted this to happen quietly. They wanted Republicans to just roll over so everyone could go home early.

We didn't let them. We dug in and forced a brutal, 24-hour marathon debate. I personally stood on the House floor and fought them for over two solid hours.

I made the majority look me in the eye and listen to exactly how this tax is going to crush families and small businesses here in the 31st District.

We lost the vote. But we proved something vital: grit makes the establishment scared. When we stand up and fight back, they panic.

But here is the hard truth I need to share with you today: my grit on the floor only matters if I have your backing.

The Tax Will be Delayed, but Without Your Help It Won’t be Killed

Right now, because of the delayed start to the bill, we are entering a brief rule-making phase. That means the tax passed, but even the Democrats who passed it don't know how they’re going to implement it. They have to hire an army of tax collectors, create the equivalent of a WA State Internal Revenue Service, and they have to figure out exactly how they’re going to process everyone’s income - including yours. If that’s a head scratcher, it should be.

Remember, they called it a millionaire’s tax. Why should they care what YOU make? Because it was never a millionaire’s tax. They absolutely CARE what YOU make!

They worked hand in hand with the media and political apparatus to lull the public to sleep and feed the rage machine with false narratives about ‘fair shares’ and other platitudes while licking their lips at the unlimited revenue coming their way.

So, they slow-rolled the tax. To build the machine to keep it permanent. And frankly, to delay it so long that you forget about it until after the election.

They delayed the income tax so that you’d forget about it until AFTER the election…”

This is the most critical window of the entire fight.

Because the tax hasn't fully kicked in yet, we have a small window to stop it. If we can elect a conservative majority right now, we can gut this law before the state becomes dependent on your money. Once they start spending this revenue, they will never let it go. We have to kill the monster while it's still in the egg.

I am holding the line in the 31st District to build the firewall we need to force a legislative fix. But I need you to understand that the clock is ticking.

In Reality, A Legislative Fix is the ONLY Solution that Matters

As I talk to folks in the district, I am hearing three main objections about why people are waiting to get involved. I need to break these down right now, because waiting is exactly what Olympia is counting on.

Objection 1: "The State Supreme Court will strike it down."

Relying on Olympia's courts to protect your wallet is a dangerous game. We have seen time and time again how the establishment uses legal gymnastics to redefine taxes and force them down our throats while the courts look the other way. If we sit back and wait for a judge to save us at the 11th hour, we have already lost.

Objection 2: "We’ll just run a citizen's initiative to repeal it."

We already know how that playbook ends. Look at what the majority Democrats just did to the Parents' Bill of Rights. They have bypassed the initiative process to protect their agenda. Even if we pass an initiative to repeal this tax, without a conservative legislative majority to enforce it, the governor will just ignore it.

Objection 3: "I'm being taxed to death!"

I hear this, and I feel it. But I need you to look at the math.

Giving to this campaign is not a charity donation; it is a financial investment to protect your own paycheck.

Giving to this campaign is not a charity donation; it is a financial investment to protect your own paycheck.

Here is exactly what your investment buys today

If this tax takes root, it will cost you hundreds or thousands of dollars every single year. Giving $100 right now (about the cost of a tank of gas) is the cheapest insurance policy you can buy against Olympia's greed.

There is only one real way to stop this tax: We have to win more seats and take away their majority.

We need the numbers to block, disrupt, and dismantle the establishment's math. I stood on the floor and fought for your wallet.

Now I need you to fund the artillery so we can finish the job.

$25 (The Frontline Fighter)

If you are on a fixed income or stretched to the absolute limit by inflation, I know that $25 means sacrificing something else this week. I don't ask for it lightly, and your support means the world to the team in the trenches and me. Your $25 lets us identify and text 250 swing voters who don't even know this tax passed, and tell them exactly who voted to shrink their paycheck.

$100 (The Working Engine)

You sit in traffic every day. You pick up overtime just to keep your head above water. You don't have time to go protest in Olympia, but you can fund the ground game. Your $100 buys the exact data we need to send our door-knockers straight to the conservative voters who stayed home last election, waking them up for the fight.

$250 (The Silent Majority)

You play by the rules, pay your taxes, and watch Olympia waste it while constantly demanding more. You know that if we don't draw a hard line right now, there is no stopping them. Your $250 funds a targeted text and digital video blitz to 2,500 low-propensity conservative voters in our district, showing them the exact threat to their family budget.

$500 (The Local Leader)

You sign the front of the paycheck, manage the budget, and see firsthand how Olympia's taxes are suffocating our local economy. You know this income tax will inevitably trickle down and crush the people you employ and work with. Your $500 pays for a coordinated neighborhood mailer and the exact voter data needed to flip a vulnerable precinct the establishment thinks they own.

$1,200 (The Main Street Target)

You spent decades working 80-hour weeks to build a business, a career, and a nest egg. The establishment calls this a tax on "millionaires" right now, but once they build the bureaucracy, they are coming for your life's work! An investment of $1,200 fully funds a targeted digital ad and mail campaign in a crucial swing precinct, exposing the architects of this tax to the voters who can fire them.

$2,400 (The Legacy Defender)

You love Washington, but you are terrified your kids will have to move to Idaho or Texas just to afford to live. The election maximum investment of $2,400 is your line in the sand. It deploys a massive-scale operation—putting a fully equipped team of canvassers on the streets for a crucial weekend push to hit thousands of doors across the district and WA that we otherwise wouldn't reach. I can pool your investment with similarly scrappy conservatives to work toward reclaiming the majority. Moreover, your investment leverages the investments of every other supporter.

Hope is not a strategy. We have to take the majority.

If you want to save your money in the long run, invest in the fighter who won't back down.

We need to deploy our ground game before the ink on Ferguson's pen is even dry.

Let’s stop holding the line and start fighting back! Will you join me?
